Ford Thunderbird Hardtop Coupe im Farbton monte carlo red aus dem Jahr 1960. Er stammt also aus dem letzten Modelljahr der so genannten "Square birds", die 1958 auf den Markt kamen. Von der Optik sind sich alle drei Jahrgänge sehr ähnlich. Nur das 1960´er-Modell hat allerdings auf jeder Fahrzeugseite drei Heckleuchten. Von diesem Coupe-Modell setzte Ford im Jahr 1960 80.938 Einheiten, zu einem Preis ab US$ 3755,00 ab. Vom Cabriolet-Modell waren es dann noch einmal 11.860 Autos ab US$ 4222,00. Als Motorisierung dient diesem "Donnervogel" der damals neue V8-Motor mit einem Hubraum von 352 cui (5766 cm³) mit einer Leistung von 300 PS. Ford Thunderbird Tudor Hardtop Coupe aus dem Jahr 1959. Die "Donnervögel" der Modelljahre von 1958 bis 1960 wurde als "Square Birds" (zu deutsch: quadratischer Vogel) bezeichnet. Die nun viersitzigen Modelle waren als Tudor Hardtop Coupe (Foto) oder als Convertible lieferbar. Ein solches Coupe in der Farbkombination colonial white/glacier green war ab enem Kaufpreis von US$ 3696,00 zu bekommen. Insgesamt setzte Ford vom Hardtop Coupe dieses Modelljahres 57.195 Autos ab. Bei der Motorisierung konnte der Kunde aus zwei verschiedenen Optionen wählen: Basismotorisierung war der V8-Motor "Special Thunderbird 352" also einem Hubraum von 352 cui (5768 cm³) und einer Leistung von 300 PS. Gegen Aufpreis konnte auch der V8-Motor "Special Thunderbird 430" mit einem Hubraum von 430 cui (7046 cm³) und einer Leistung von 350 PS verbaut werden. Bei beiden Motorisierungen war das automatische "Cruise-O-matic" Getriebe serienmäßig verbaut. Oldtimertreffen Altenthann/Oberpfalz am 03.05.2026. 
